The book The Lovely Bones is about a man who travels around the country and spends time stalking/watching women, then after awhile her rapes them and kills them. From every murder he keeps a souvenir. The book mostly revolves around a young girl’s family. One day when Susie was taking her shortcut home from school Mr. Harvey asks Susie if she wants to see a cool underground fort in the wheat field, and of course Susie is very interested and wants to see it. Once she enters, he rapes and kills her, cuts her body up, and he puts it in a safe then dumps it in a sink hole. After the family was told Susie was presumed dead they refused to believe it until a dog found her elbow in the field. Then Susie was in her own heaven. The whole book switches in-between Susie’s view from heaven to her family, and friend’s view from earth. As Susie meets previous victims of Mr. Harvey’s they continue on earth to find more clues to Susie’s murder.
This book is pretty graphic is some parts and I would recommend anyone who likes a lot of drama, surprises, and suspense.
Great job Brianna! Two questions - have you seen the movie? and did you like that the point of view changed alot, or would you have rather it stayed one narrator? I personally thought at times it got confusing, but it was still a great book. i know that Jodi Picoult somtimes has alternating points of view adn she alsdo changes font wich i think helps. Anyway, great job again:)
